Søberg Farm is a historic family farm dating back to 1862, beautifully situated in Eidsbygda, right in the heart of Romsdalen. Today, the farm is run by the 5th generation of hosts.

Fjord & Fishing

Enjoy living right by the Romsdalsfjorden, with our private harbour and sand beach for water activities.

Søberg farm is registered and approved as a tourist fishing facility.

  • Private Harbour & Boat Rental: We have our own harbour with first class boats available. Explore the fjord at your own pace.
  • Saltwater Fishing: Romsdalsfjorden is famous for its fish. Cast a line and catch your own dinner, no fishing license required for saltwater fishing.
  • Sand Beach: Take a swim or relax on our sandy beach, a rare gem in this area.

Hiking in Rauma

Rauma is known as the mountaineering capital of Norway. The location is a hiker’s paradise offering incredible convenience: Within just a 30-minute drive from the farm, you can access more than 20 well-known, marked mountain hikes.
Here are our top recommendations for all fitness levels:

  • Romsdalseggen: One of Norway’s most beautiful hikes. A demanding day trip with a view you will never forget.
  • Rampestreken: A popular hike ending at a spectacular viewing platform hanging 537 meters above the fjord.
  • Tarløysa: A fantastic hike offering a panoramic view of the Romsdalsfjord and the “Molde Panorama” with its 222 peaks.
  • Litlefjellet: The “short cut” to the big views. A short, family-friendly hike that gets you close to the Troll Wall and Romsdalshorn in under 30 minutes.

  • Romsdalsgondolen: Take the gondola from Åndalsnes center up to the mountain top for fine dining and 360-degree views.
  • Trollstigen: Drive the world-famous Norwegian sentric route, the serpentine mountain road (approx. 30 minute drive).
  • Trollveggen: Visit the foot of Europe’s tallest vertical rock face.
  • The Atlantic Road: A spectacular day trip driving on the edge of the ocean.
